Southwest Cheese — Clovis, New Mexico

Located in Clovis, New Mexico, Southwest Cheese is a 50:50 joint venture between Glanbia, and the Greater Southwest Agency, which is comprised of Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. and Select Milk Producers, Inc. The facility was commissioned in 2006 and further expanded in 2010. The plant is capable of processing over 4.0 billion pounds of milk, and producing in excess of 400 million pounds of high quality cheese and 27 million pounds of high value-added whey protein powder on an annual basis. The cheese and whey produced are sold both nationally and internationally.

Southwest Cheese is strategically located in the heart of New Mexico’s cattle country where the Clovis community supports and thrives from the active dairy, farming and ranching industries. Southwest Cheese is one of the largest employers in the community and actively supports the local and regional schools, charities, sporting events and committees through employee involvement and charitable donations.
